THE ARCHITECT NOTES FOR OPEN BETA

Hey everyone!

After months of grinding (and countless coffee-fueled nights), I'm beyond excited to share what we've been cooking with Sipher Odyssey. This isn't just another roguelite – it's our love letter to the action genre, supercharged with everything we've learned from the classics. This is our biggest update yet!

Why am I so pumped? Because we've continuously built around three pillars that we personally love as a gamer of this genre:

Remember how you felt the first time you pulled off that perfect team combo in LoL? Or when you finally cracked that god-tier build in Hades or Diablo? That's the feeling we're chasing. Our Augments System is literally built to break limits – mix, match, and watch the fireworks as you create completely bonkers power combinations.

But here's where it gets spicy: Every Vessel, Weapon, and Subrace opens up new possibilities. Each ingredient adds its own flavor, creating this beautiful chaos of bullet sparks, poison zones, and satisfying explosions. And don't get me started on the ultimate combos of Automas, Ion Surges, and Passives. They're proper "OH SNAP!" moments when used correctly.

Best part? We've worked hard to nail that sweet spot – easy to pick up, but with enough depth to keep you theory-crafting for months. Your first boss kill will feel amazing and within easy reach, but mastering the system? That's where the real fun begins.

MELEE LIFE-STEAL

Melee attacks (including Melee Ion-surge) now restore HP for your vessel. Use this to your advantage in combat to increase survivability and open up new builds.

SOFTWARES AND PASSIVE VESSEL AUGMENTS

Introducing ‘Software’ into the crafting process. A totally new dimension of Augment, Software adds Passive Augments as instantly active abilities at the start of combat to:
