Character progression in Sipher Odyssey is a multi-layered system that allows players to develop their Vessels (characters) through leveling, ascension, and equipment customization. This wiki provides a comprehensive guide to understanding and optimizing your character's growth journey.
Character Loadout
Every Vessel in Sipher Odyssey requires a complete loadout consisting of:
2 Weapons (1 Ranged & 1 Melee)
1 Chest Gear
1 Head Gear
1 Hand Gear
1 Leg Gear
1 Foot Gear
Important Notes:
All slots must be filled for a complete loadout
Each Vessel can have only one loadout
Each equipment piece can only be equipped by one Vessel at a time
Equipment with a Vessel icon in inventory indicates it's currently equipped
Leveling System
Experience Points (XP)
XP is the primary resource for advancing your Vessel's level:
Earned by completing dungeon runs
Required XP increases with each level
XP collection stops when a Vessel reaches its current level cap
Must be spent in the Hero Customization screen to level up
Level Cap
Each Vessel has a level cap determined by its Ascension tier:
Stats Progression
As your Vessel levels up, the following stats will increase:
Max Health (Int): Maximum health capacity
Speed (Float): Movement distance per second
Strength (Int): Melee attack damage calculation
Defense (Int): Melee damage resistance calculation
Precision (Int): Ranged attack damage calculation

Ascension System
Ascension is a powerful progression mechanic that enhances a Vessel's potential beyond regular leveling.
Ascension Requirements
To ascend a Vessel, you need:
Bytes (Soft Currency)
2 other Vessels of the same Sub-race and Ascension level
Ascension Benefits
Each Ascension level provides:
Increased level cap (+10 levels)
Permanent percentage-based stat bonuses
Unlocked features and enhancements
XP Boosters & Accelerants
XP Boosters
XP Boosters are consumable items that increase XP gains:
Applied before entering a dungeon
Effect remains active for the specified duration
Multiplies XP earned from completed dungeon runs
Only one XP Booster can be active at a time
New boosters can replace active ones
XP Drives
XP Drives provide instant XP to a selected Vessel:
Used outside dungeons from inventory
Available in different tiers matching Ascension levels
Tier restrictions apply (Vessels can only use drives up to their Ascension tier)
Purchasable from the Emporium (availability based on player level)
The auto-feature allows for efficient level-up planning
Trading & Genesis NFT Vessels
Regular Vessel Trading
When a Vessel is traded via the Marketplace:
Level resets to 1
The new owner can level up using XP Drives
Genesis NFT Vessels
Genesis NFT Vessels have special properties:
Come with dedicated equipment
Equipment is automatically managed when listed on Marketplace
Cannot be used as Ascension materials
Retain their equipment when withdrawn to blockchain wallet
