Ban Rules
Maintaining a fair and positive gameplay environment is crucial for all players in Sipher Odyssey. The following rules outline forbidden behaviors and their corresponding penalties. Violations of these rules can result in temporary or permanent restrictions from certain features or the game as a whole.
Violation Categories and Penalties
1. Third-Party Programs & Exploitation
Offense: Using third-party programs to interrupt, hack, or exploit game mechanics/features.
Penalties:
First occurrence: 3-day ban
Second occurrence: Permanent ban
Restriction: Complete access to the game will be blocked.
Notification Method:
When attempting to log in: Penalty message displayed
If already in-game: Warning message followed by removal to the loading screen
2. Intentional Co-op Game Abandonment
Offense: Deliberately quitting Public Co-op games (via Pause → Quit).
Penalties:
First occurrence: Warning message only
2nd-4th occurrences: 15-minute restriction
5th occurrence and beyond: 1-hour restriction
Restriction: Public Co-op Matchmaking feature will be disabled for the duration of the penalty.
Note: Time penalties stack with each violation.
Notification Method:
When logging in: Penalty message displayed
When in-game: Warning message and matchmaking feature disabled
3. Community Guidelines Violations
Offense: Inappropriate behavior in chat including:
Swearing
Insults
Use of offensive language
Racist remarks
Penalties:
First occurrence: Warning message only
2nd-4th occurrences: 1-day chat restriction
5th occurrence and beyond: 3-day chat restriction
Restriction: Chat functionality in public and team/group channels will be disabled.
Note: Time penalties stack with each violation.
Notification Method:
When logging in: Penalty message displayed
When in-game: Warning message and chat feature disabled
Ban Status Information
Penalty Duration Display
When under a temporary ban, a countdown timer will be displayed in the Home Screen, indicating:
The restricted feature or action
The exact time remaining until the penalty expires
Ban Status Lifted
When a ban or restriction period ends, you will be notified through:
A push notification
An in-game mail
A pop-up message upon next game access informing you that the ban has been lifted
Appeal Process
While not explicitly mentioned in the official rules, players who believe they have been unfairly penalized are encouraged to contact Sipher Odyssey support through the official channels with relevant details and evidence.
