Augments are a cornerstone of Vessel customization in Sipher Odyssey, providing powerful abilities, passive effects, and stat boosts that define your playstyle. This wiki details how to acquire, manage, and optimize Augments to maximize your Vessels' potential.
Each Vessel has six Augment slots divided into two categories:
3 Race Augments: Tied to the Vessel's primary race (INU, NEKO, BURU, etc.)
3 Sub-race Augments: Specific to the Vessel's sub-race (Canis, Bioz, Synthetic, etc.)
These Augments significantly influence combat effectiveness by providing various benefits:
Stat boosts (Strength, Precision, Defense, etc.)
Passive abilities (damage reduction, healing, etc.)
Skill modifiers (cooldown reduction, area increases, etc.)
Special effects (element application, crowd control, etc.)
Augments come in multiple rarity levels, each offering increasingly powerful effects:
Uncommon (Green)
Rare (Blue)
Epic (Purple)
Legendary (Orange)
Higher rarity Augments provide stronger effects but appear less frequently when generating new Vessels.
The chance of a Vessel being generated with specific Augments is determined by weight values:
Legendary: Weight = 1 (Lowest chance)
Epic: Weight = 3
Rare + Uncommon: Weight = 6 (Highest chance)
Legendary: Weight = 1 (Lowest chance)
Epic: Weight = 2
Rare + Uncommon: Weight = 4 (Highest chance)
These weights create a natural rarity system where Legendary Augments are significantly less common than Uncommon or Rare ones.
The Augment Reroll system allows players to customize their Vessels by replacing existing Augments with new options.
Access the Vessel customization screen
Select the "Reroll Augment" option
Choose one of the six Augments to target for replacement
Review available replacement options (1 new Augment by default)
Choose to accept a new Augment or keep the existing one
Rerolling Augments requires three resources:
Bytes (Soft Currency)
Jumble (Special Material)
E.M Shards (of the same Sub-race)
Race Augments can only be replaced with other Race Augments
Sub-race Augments can only be replaced with other Sub-race Augments
New Augments cannot duplicate any existing Augments on the Vessel
For NFT Vessels, the reroll count resets when transferred to a new account
The number of replacement options is configurable (default: 1)
It's important to understand the difference between Equipment Augments and Vessel Augments:
Vessel Augments: Innate to the Vessel, can be rerolled but not upgraded through leveling
Equipment Augments: Attached to equipment, upgraded through equipment leveling, and can be replaced
Both systems work together to provide comprehensive customization options for your Vessels.
Synergistic Builds: Look for Augments that complement each other and your playstyle
Sub-race Enhancement: Prioritize Augments that enhance your Sub-race's special ability
Balance: Maintain a mix of offensive and defensive Augments for versatility
Specialization: For dedicated roles (damage, support, tank), focus on role-specific Augments
Save for Legendaries: Consider saving reroll resources for attempting to get Legendary Augments
Plan Ahead: Decide which Augments you want before spending resources
Evaluate Cost: As reroll costs increase, be more selective about further attempts
Focus Priority Slots: Target the most impactful Augments first before moving to secondary slots
While not currently implemented, future updates may include Augment Enhancement features:
Equipping special Enhancements to existing Augments
Choosing from three Enhancement options
Maximum of one Enhancement per Augment
Enhancements transferred when Augments are replaced
For NFT Vessels, special considerations apply:
Reroll counters reset when the Vessel is transferred to a new owner
This applies to both blockchain transfers and Marketplace transactions
Allow new owners to customize their acquired Vessels without penalty
By mastering the Augment system, you'll be able to create highly specialized Vessels tailored to your preferred playstyle, giving you a significant advantage in the challenging world of Sipher Odyssey.
